Museomix is an annual creative 3-days marathon in museums. This international event takes place every year in November. It is open to all kinds of participants (cultural professionals, non-professionals, etc.). The organization of a Museomix is supported by a majority of volunteers. Museomix is part of a context of open innovation with museums, companies, start-ups, communities and the general public. Museomix creates the conditions of innovation for museography, scenography, the relationship with the public, the relationship to work, and the digital transformation of museums. It encourages professional meetings, multidisciplinarity, and the discovery of other ways of working and other methodologies.
Museomix 2022 at the Musée d’Histoire de Marseille will be part of the Erasmus+ PITCHER project, which aims to provide European teaching teams with educational tools to raise awareness about the prevention of illicit trafficking in cultural heritage. From 11 to 13 November, Museomix 2022 will support the launch of the temporary exhibition entitled "Guilty treasures - Archaeological looting in France and the Mediterranean basin Mediterranean basin " that the museum will devote to this theme from October 2022 to summer 2023. The Museomixers will be able to take advantage of this option if they wish.
